DLF Limited has a footprint in Kalka that is commercial as well as residential. The clearest commercial expression is DLF Commercial Panchkula, which offers premium G+4 retail and office spaces on 2.11 acres at Kalka Road, with pricing that the developer lists starting at ₹2 lakh per sq. yd. near Valley's Clubhouse, Panchkula.
The project sits on the Kalka Road frontage rather than in a sector interior. It is about 200 meters off the main road towards the hills, and the developer's description places it on the Amravati sector dividing road, which gives it access to traffic moving between Panchkula and Chandigarh. Its right-hand frontage faces a petrol pump, a landmark that helps commuters find it.
The site's value rests on the traffic that already passes it. DLF's own description points to high visibility to daily commuters and tourists heading towards Kalka, Shimla, and beyond, and to seamless connectivity to NH-5, Sector 20, Pinjore, and Chandimandir. For a retail or office occupier, that combination of a hill-bound flow and a city-side link is the main reason the location was chosen.
NH-5 is the corridor that matters most here. Per one property guide, the Zirakpur-Parwanoo section of NH-5 has been widened to four lanes with electronic toll collection, easing traffic toward Kalka and the hills.
DLF's residential work in the Kalka–Pinjore belt is in Sector 3. DLF The Valley is a 34-acre residential precinct set within a larger 207-acre planned township at the foot of the Shivalik Hills in Panchkula's Sector 3. The residential product is low-rise. The project offers 644 independent 4 BHK floors across low-rise buildings of ground plus four storeys, and the same township also includes plotted sections, with premium residential plots in sizes ranging from 240 to 675 square yards.
The Valley Orchard is another part of the Panchkula story. In an earlier launch, DLF described it as a low-rise township called "The Valley Orchard" that spans 15.83 acres, and the first phase of "The Valley Orchards," which included 350 units, was already sold out.
Price points vary sharply along this stretch. One broker-published survey places Pinjore at Rs 11,000 to Rs 12,200/sq ft and Kalka as a historic hill gateway, budget to mid-segment at Rs 3,500 to Rs 6,500/sq ft. That gap is the context in which DLF's commercial and residential launches sit. The residential demand is also linked to infrastructure plans. One report notes that the Metro (Tricity Metro / Chandigarh Metro) was approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, covering a 39-km network across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
DLF Limited was founded 4 July 1946 by Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh and was founded by Chaudhary Raghvendra Singh in 1946, and it is based in New Delhi. Its early work was in Delhi. After the Delhi Development Act of 1957 restricted private development in the capital, the company moved toward Gurugram, and its DLF City project there began in the mid-1970s. Its shares are listed as BSE: 532868; NSE: DLF. In Panchkula, the company's footprint is a combination of a commercial frontage on Kalka Road and a large residential township in Sector 3, both of which place the company's name at the entry point to the Shivalik foothills.
