DLF Promotes Ajay Khanna to Executive Vice President for Pan-India Projects

Published

DLF Limited has promoted Ajay Khanna from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President (Pan India), a move reported on 30 October 2026. Khanna announced the change through a LinkedIn post. He has been associated with the Gurugram-headquartered developer for more than four years, and the promotion places him in charge of a wider remit across the company's project base in India.

DLF is registered at its office in DLF City, Phase I, Gurugram, and the company's senior project leadership is closely tied to the delivery of homes and commercial spaces in the National Capital Region and other cities where it operates. For buyers of DLF homes, a senior project leader's elevation is a signal about how the company is organising its execution teams as its portfolio grows across residential and commercial segments.

Role and responsibilities

Khanna joined DLF in July 2022 as Senior Vice President, Projects (Pan India). In that role he led project operations across the company's commercial and retail portfolio nationwide. His responsibilities covered strategic planning, capital allocation, governance and the execution of large-scale capital improvement programmes.

The promotion takes him to the Executive Vice President level with a pan-India remit. Senior project leadership at a developer of this size typically coordinates site delivery, construction standards and capital planning across multiple cities, and the new title puts that responsibility at the executive tier.

Career before DLF

Before joining DLF, Khanna spent more than four years with Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast LLC, from June 2018 to June 2022, serving as Project Director. During this period he led the delivery of Vida Hotel and Residences at Dubai Marina for Emaar Properties, a project valued at US$160 million.

Earlier in his career, he worked as Senior Construction Manager at Arabtec Construction for nearly five years, from July 2007 to March 2012. There he was involved in the execution of high-rise residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments in Dubai. His experience spans Gulf-region high-rise and hospitality work as well as Indian residential and commercial projects, which is relevant to the scale of DLF's current pipeline.

About DLF Limited

DLF Limited, formerly Delhi Land and Finance, is one of India's largest commercial real estate development companies and is listed on both the BSE and the NSE. The company has developed more than 185 real estate projects covering over 352 million sq ft, and it holds about 275 million sq ft of development potential across residential and commercial segments, including projects under execution. Its commercial rental portfolio of around 50 million sq ft spans offices and malls.

Leadership at the Board level includes Rajiv Singh as Chairman, with Ashok Kumar Tyagi and Devinder Singh as Managing Directors. Badal Bagri serves as Group Chief Financial Officer, a designation effective from 6 December 2024.

Recent sales activity has been strong. The company reported that all 416 residential units across four towers in a recent launch sold out in less than a week, generating bookings of more than ₹2,300 crore. Its senior-citizen project The Aureva in Gurugram sold out for ₹1,985 crore in October 2026, and in the same month DLF acquired 7.5 acres in Gurugram for a luxury housing project expansion.

What comes next

The promotion positions Khanna to oversee project operations across DLF's national portfolio at the executive level. Buyers and channel partners can expect continuity in the company's project delivery as it moves ahead with its current launches and land additions. The company's commercial pipeline also continues to expand, with a shopping mall in Goa planned to open in February to March 2027 and expected rentals of more than ₹150 crore, which will fall under the same project oversight structure.
